AGM confirms ₦24.28bn 2025 profit (+29.83%); management signals bid intent as FG concession programme advances

Shareholders of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company approved a ₦12.18 billion dividend and a one-for-seven bonus share issue at the company's Annual General Meeting on Sunday, following a 2025 full-year profit of ₦24.28 billion, a 29.83 per cent increase from the previous year.

Shareholders commended the board and management at the AGM for the strong financial performance, describing it as evidence of disciplined operational execution in a challenging aviation environment. The one-for-seven bonus share issue will distribute new shares to existing shareholders proportionally, rewarding long-term investors in one of the NGX's top-performing stocks in 2026.

NAHCO management also signalled strong interest in bidding for airport concession contracts in Nigeria, positioning the company for a significant revenue expansion as the Federal Government advances plans to privatise operations at major airports.

The aviation sector has been under significant cost pressure in 2026, with fuel costs rising due to global oil price spikes linked to the Strait of Hormuz conflict. Dangote Refinery began direct sales of jet fuel to airlines at ₦1,820 per litre in May, aimed at stabilising supply costs. Against that backdrop, NAHCO's profit growth signals operational efficiency gains that have outpaced input cost inflation.

NAHCO shares have gained significant ground on the NGX this year, with the company appearing among the exchange's top performers in multiple sessions.
